BUDFA's role is coordinating all the activities of member farmers with the aim of facilitating excellence in farming. BUDFA acts by lobbying government line ministries and other stakeholders in order to foster a conducive environment for farming. It also acts to identify markets locally, regionally and internationally for its members.
